가야금 연주자 박효진은 그동안 솔로 프로젝트를 통해 -성금연류. 김병호류. 최옥삼류 산조sec. 시리즈-를 선보였다. 장구 반주가 아닌 일정한 초 단위 리듬을 반주 삼아 그 안에서 산조 고유의 자유로움을 담아내는 프로그램이다.

전통음악의 백미로 꼽히는 가야금 산조는 진양, 중모리, 중중모리, 굿거리, 자진모리, 휘모리 등 장단 구성에 의한 악장으로 구분되는데, 박효진의 짧은산조는 진양18/8(♪=35)-굿거리12/8(♪=143)-자진모리12/8(♩.=112/♩.=146)–휘모리4/4(♩= 232)의 구성으로 박효진의 깊은 내공과 편안하면서도 원숙함을 품은 농익은 연주가 엿보인다.

Gayageum player Hyo-jin Park has presented a solo project series featuring Seong Geum-yeon style, Kim Byeong-ho style, and Choi Oksam style sanjo. This program is characterized by using fixed rhythms as accompaniment instead of the traditional Janggu—within which the inherent freedom of Sanjo.

Gayageum sanjo—considered one of the finest highlights of traditional Korean music—is divided into sections according to rhythmic cycles (jangdan) including Jinyang, Jungmori, Jungjungmori, Gutgeori, Jajinmori, and Hwimori.

“Hyo-jin Park Short Sanjo” is structured as Jinyang 18/8 (♪ = 35) – Gutgeori 12/8 (♪ = 143) – Jajinmori 12/8 (♩.=112 / ♩.=146) – Hwimori 4/4 (♩ = 232). This composition reveals Hyo-jin Park’s profound skill and experience, as well as her comfortable yet mature, relaxed, and ripened performance style.
